Find and Replace ("the Add-on") is developed by Avin Anvari. This Privacy Policy explains how the Add-on handles your data.
Data Access
The Add-on requires access to the following Google services to function:
- Google Sheets™ — To read the placeholder and replacement values you select in your spreadsheet.
- Google Docs™ — To open and edit copies of your template documents.
- Google Drive™ — To access folders you select, copy documents, and create output folders.
Data Collection and Storage
The Add-on does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or document content to external servers. All processing happens locally within your Google Workspace™ environment.
Specifically:
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not store your documents or spreadsheet data.
- We do not transmit your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
Data Usage
The Add-on only accesses your data when you actively use it. It reads your selected spreadsheet cells to identify placeholders and replacement values, accesses the folder you choose to copy documents, and writes the edited copies to a new folder. Once the operation is complete, no data is retained by the Add-on.
Third-Party Services
The Add-on uses Google's APIs (Google Sheets API, Google Docs API, Google Drive API, Google Picker API) to function. Your use of these services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Security
The Add-on operates entirely within Google's secure infrastructure. Authentication is handled by Google's OAuth 2.0 system. You can revoke the Add-on's access at any time through your Google Account permissions.
Children's Privacy
The Add-on is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
